A few tips for trips that won’t break the bank

Body

I’ve never pretended to be a world traveler who can reel off the vacation steals and deals quicker than our nation’s airlines can cancel flights during peak season.

I do, however, like to travel. It was sequenced into my DNA at an early age as my parents took my brother and me along with them to countless horticulture conferences across the United States and Canada.

At last count I can mark off 33 states and two border countries in North America. Then there was the two-week whirlwind jaunt through Europe as a senior in high school.

The vote was 2-1, as it has been for several years.

Voicing his opposition was District 1 Commissioner Marc Hader, who said ballot language approved by voters 26 years ago to build the sales tax-funded center only provided for Canadian County juveniles to be housed there.
