Drainage work near Legion Park enters final stage

Body

Construction on the last leg of a major drainage project has been under way for several weeks just north of Legion Park.

The city of El Reno tapped into Community Development Block Grants, FEMA funds and local monies to help fund a series of drainage projects that city officials said have been long past due.

The project in the Legion Park area is the final phase of work that started more than a year ago.

Drainage work was completed on the channel that runs north of Watts and extends past Sunset.
