The Hinton All-School Reunion will not be held in July of 2021, said Kathy Garrison Chisum, alumni president.
The reunion will return to its usual rotation and is planned for July of 2025. The change was made out of concern for COVID-19.
Officials at Pets and People estimate the rescue facility is just days away from settling into its forever home.
“We are hoping by very early December that we can be operational,” said executive director Amy Young.
Located near Morgan Road and Reno at 9753 NW 4th St., the new location has everything the pet rescue could have wanted.
The building has been fully remodeled and includes about 1,600 square feet of office space in the front, with an additional 6,100 square feet of warehouse space in the back.
The Oklahoma Senate and House of Representatives are partnering together with each chamber hosting a series of meetings the next several weeks at sites across the state in an effort to solicit input and inform citizens about the redistricting process.
Each meeting will follow the pandemic protection protocols of the facility hosting the meeting.

The landscape can go to the birds – literally – in the fall. David Hillock, Oklahoma State University Extension consumer horticulturist, said wild birds are grateful for the lack of upkeep.
“This is the time of year when tidy gardeners are raking leaves, removing dead plants from flower beds and doing a general cleanup,” Hillock said.
After a three-year hiatus, Rodney Haydon will return to the bench to coach El Reno High School’s boys basketball team as the Indians open the 2020-21 season Thursday night against Harrah.
“It’s been an adjustment period in the fact of time management and getting back into the routine of dealing with the kids and practice every day. I’ve had to manage my time between my athletic director duties and basketball,” said Haydon.

Eunetta Francis (Wilson) Heath was born Jan. 4, 1929, in Haywood to Earl and Nettie Wilson and went to be with her Lord and Savior Dec. 4, 2020, in El Reno.
On Nov. 9, 1949, she married the love of her life, Donald Heath, and together they had two children, Donald and Sharon. They loved traveling, going on cruises and going to their vacation home in Flint Ridge. Her favorite trip that they took together was the Tour of Jerusalem in 1972.
The most important thing to them was serving within the church together. They pastored the Pentecostal Church of God for 54 years.
Brian Scott Nelson, 54, of El Reno, was welcomed into heaven on Dec. 2, 2020, passing peacefully at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Brian was born Dec. 31, 1965, in Oklahoma City to Don and Sheri (New) Nelson. Brian was one of three children raised in Mesquite, Texas, and Dothan, Ala. Brian was a brother, son, friend and loved uncle to two nephews and two nieces.
Graveside services with military honors for Jerry Malcom Mitchell of Minco were held Tuesday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.
Mr. Mitchell died Dec. 4, 2020, at his home. He was born Aug. 25, 1949, in Minco.
Jerry was raised in the Minco and Cogar communities, graduating from Minco High School in 1967. He attended Northeastern Oklahoma University, graduating with a degree in business. He served in the Army National Guard.
