El Reno employees, cleanup coordinators should be praised for quick response

Body

How about a giant round of applause for every city of El Reno employee and those who coordinated the cleanup after the late October ice storm.

By far, El Reno is ahead of other cities in this area, including Oklahoma City, Yukon and Mustang when it comes to cleanup. Oklahoma City is just now starting cleanup and Yukon residents have been told the cleanup there could extend into next spring.

El Reno is projected to be limb-free by Nov. 22. That didn’t happen by accident. It happened because of leadership, management and perseverance.

ER Community Chorus to perform Songs of Hope, Peace and Comfort

Body

The El Reno Community Chorus is preparing for its upcoming concerts, Songs of Hope, Peace and Comfort, to be performed Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 22 at 2:30 p.m.

Over the summer, our long wait for a new home was realized when we were able to finalize arrangements with St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon.

When we could no longer rehearse at Redlands Community College in El Reno because of new hours and fees, we searched for a place where we could rehearse and perform with our own piano and which would also house our music library.
