Body Two of the most popular student-driven events on the calendar each year at El Reno High School will take place despite COVID-19, but the gatherings will look different than in the past. El Reno Public Schools Veterans Day and Gifts to the Yanks assemblies will be held virtually.

Body El Reno Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will be canvassing neighborhoods on Nov. 7, hoping to collect canned and non-perishable food items as part of the annual Scouting for Food campaign.

Body Bill was born in Cherokee, Okla., to William E. and Mary (Anderson) Kerr on Jan. 9, 1942. He attended first grade in Cherokee before his family moved to Enid. Bill graduated from Enid High School in 1960. He lettered two years in football.

Body Memorial service for Lesley Sara Hendrix-Yelton of El Reno was held Oct. 22, 2020, at First Pentecostal Church of God with Dean Eskew officiating. Lesley passed away Oct. 12, 2020, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon. She was born May 21, 1983, in Oklahoma City.

Body Graveside service for Keeton Thomas “Keeter” Humphrey of Chickasha was held Saturday at the Friendship Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco. Keeter passed away Oct. 21, 2020, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Body Graveside service for Kenneth Eugene Dodd will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pocasset Cemetery. Viewing will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Body While all the teams in District 5A-1 will enter the playoffs this season after last week's decision by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association, the order of finish may have settled itself on the field.
