The second annual "You're Somebody's Blood Type" blood drive was held last week outside the Canadian County Courthouse Annex. The Oklahoma Blood Institute brought over two donation buses for the six-hour event held in honor of El Reno's Sara Feistel, who has been diagnosed with placenta accreta and may need blood transfusions following the birth of her second baby. ON The Okarche High School speech team recently competed in the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Invitational Speech Tournament and brought home seven individual trophies and the Class 3A sweepstakes trophy.
