UCHS finds limited success; Calumet snaps skid
Union City High School’s slow-pitch softball team split a road doubleheader with Alex last week as the Tigers are struggling to find consistency in the win column.
Chase Johnson’s team defeated Alex 16-12 but dropped a 3-2 decision. The split came on the heels of a 1-3 effort in the Highway 152 Classic as Union City defeated Lawton Eisenhower 11-0.
The Classic losses were to Hydro-Eakly (14-0), Lookeba-Sickles (8-2) and Amber-Pocasset (12-11). The 2-4 record over the past six games leaves Union City with a 5-6 record for the spring.
