Private family services for Willadean Woodworth of Minco were held under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Deanie passed away Aug. 24, 2020, at St. Katharine Drexel Retirement Center in El Reno. She was born May 15, 1934, in Chickasha, and graduated from Minco High School. Deanie assisted in running the Woodworth family business. She was a member of Minco First Baptist Church and served as president of the Oklahoma State Gideon Auxiliary.

Born September 24, 1924, in El Reno - Died August 24, 2020, in El Reno

Carl was the fifth of 12 children, with eight brothers and three sisters, born to Anton and Mary Irene (Kappus) Elmenhorst. Carl graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1948 and later served in the Army at Fort Lewis, Wash., from 1951-1953.

During his enlistment he married Jerry Ann Olander on July 3, 1952, who predeceased him on Nov. 2, 1988. He married Darla Gleason Knott on Dec. 24, 1990, who predeceased him on Sept. 12, 1993.

Damon Monroe Colson

Body

Damon Monroe Colson passed away Aug. 15, 2020, at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. Damon was born to Buck and Alice Colson on May 20, 1960, in Oklahoma City.

Damon is survived by his wife, Teresa Colson; stepsons, Jason Stinehart and Brian Stinehart and stepdaughter, Crystal Stinehart; two grandsons and one granddaughter; sister, Sharon and husband, Warren Riggs of Purcell; brother, Donald and wife, Connie Colson of Oklahoma City; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents and sister, Denise Blaney, preceded him in death.

Carl Eugene Ashley

Body

Graveside services with military honors for Carl Eugene Ashley were held Friday, Aug. 21, 2020, in the El Reno Cemetery with Rev. Rick Duncan officiating. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Ashley died Aug. 18, 2020, at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa. He was born March 2, 1937, in El Reno and lived here most of his life before moving to Tulsa in September 2013. 

Carl was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and a lifetime member of American Legion Post 34. He was a carpenter and a member of the Yukon Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Alfred J. Meyer were held Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastors Joel Heckmann and Jeff Klade officiating. Burial followed at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Vernia JoAnn Mehan-Salmon was born July 20, 1939, in Chandler to Felta and Ted Mehan.

JoAnn is survived by her sons, Gene Jr. and Gina Thomas and Chuck Winans; granddaughter, Amanda Winans and fiance, LeOtis Richey; grandsons, Justin Winans and Shaun and Amber Thomas; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Wood, Jean and Junior Reynolds, Janice Bowers and Tammie and Kurt Merritt; as well as her brothers, Wayne Mehan and Herman and Dorothy Mehan.

Joel Lee Crawford

Joel Lee Crawford was born Feb. 13, 1947, in Roswell, N.M., to Henry Lee Crawford and Pauline Roberts Pappan.

He died in El Reno on Aug. 17, 2020.

Joel spent most of his working life as an excellent electrician. He had served his country as a staff sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Joel is survived by countless friends.

A service honoring his life with military honors will be planned at a future date under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Jerry Bromlow, 71, passed away at his home on Monday, Aug.17, 2020, with his wife, children and granddaughter by his side. Jerry was born Feb. 13, 1949, in Minco, where he lived until the age of 8 and moved to Union City. He graduated from Union City High School in 1968. In 1970, he married Sharon Nusbaum of El Reno, who has been by his side over 50 years. In 1981, they moved to El Reno where they live at the present time.

Jon Edwin Morrison

Body

Jon Edwin Morrison, 72, passed away unexpectedly, Aug. 10, 2020, in Denton, Texas. 

He was a devoted son, brother and proud father of Susanne Christine Morrison. Jon was the youngest of 10 children of Claude and Mary Morrison. He was raised on their family farm in Union City. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Union City, and served as an altar boy.
