Orvella Hahn

Orvella Mourine Hahn passed away Oct. 30, 2020, in Henryetta.

She was born April 2, 1933, in Erick, and had attended school in El Reno.

Orvella was a nursing student at Mercy Hospital. She worked for Central State University before becoming a school nurse at Roosevelt Junior High and finishing her nursing career at Western Heights Public School where she retired.

Orvella is survived by her children, Charla Wilkes, Perry Hahn and Scott Hahn; brother, Don Vance; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Sandra Sue Feddersen Wynn

Body

Sandra Sue Feddersen Wynn was born Jan. 16, 1953, in Cushing to Donald Dean and Betty Ethel (Drake) Feddersen. Sandra passed away Oct. 27, 2020, after encountering several health issues over the last few years.

Sandra was raised in El Reno. She graduated high school in 1971 and attended Oklahoma State University. She graduated from OSU in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in education.

Ruth Ann Baustert

Body

Ruth Ann Baustert, 94, a lifelong resident of Okarche, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher. She was born Sept. 18, 1926, to the late Trubie and Marie Naberhaus Wiewel. 

Ruth married Carlos Baustert on June 25, 1945, in Okarche, where they established a home and raised six children. Ruth dedicated her life to her family and faith.

From an early age, Ruth was taught the value of hard work. She milked the cows before going to school each morning.

Richard Slane

Body

Richard David Slane of El Reno passed away Oct. 23, 2020, at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Thermopolis, Wyo.

He worked in the oil field industry.

Richard is survived by his wife, Linda Slane; sister, Dorothy Romango; son, Chad Slane and daughter, Kerriē Slane-Sneed; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clyde Anthony

Graveside services for Clyde Carrol Anthony of Cogar were held Friday at the Binger Murray Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.

Clyde died Oct. 26, 2020, at the Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born May 3, 1930, in Cogar. Clyde was raised in the Minco/Cogar communities, graduating from Minco High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Clyde was employed at the Chevrolet Dealership in Binger as a mechanic until his retirement in 1977.

Paul Terry

Graveside services for Paul Wesley Terry of Oklahoma City were held Tuesday at the Rose Cemetery in Hobart under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.

Paul died Oct. 26, 2020, at the Colonial Estates Nursing Home in Shawnee. He was born July 10, 1939, in Marlow. Paul was raised in the Roosevelt community, graduating from Roosevelt High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Paul was employed as a retail grocer before his retirement. He had attended Word Alive Church in Lawton.

Gerald Duncan

Memorial service for Gerald “Beaver” Ray Duncan will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 7, 2020, at the El Reno Cemetery.

Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Hap; his brother, Bobby; and his precious sister, Stephanie Lynn “Peaches.”

He is survived by his son, River Ray; his mother, Shirley Stowe Minter; brother, Dennis and wife, Angie; stepsister, Georganna Post; uncle, Sonny Stowe; along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousin and friends.

Patty Ruth Young, 86, of El Reno died Oct. 11, 2020, at Canadian Valley Regional Hospital in Yukon.

There will be a private graveside service at the Chilhowee Cemetery in Chilhowee, Mo.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg.

William “Bill” Max Kerr

Bill was born in Cherokee, Okla., to William E. and Mary (Anderson) Kerr on Jan. 9, 1942. He attended first grade in Cherokee before his family moved to Enid.

Bill graduated from Enid High School in 1960. He lettered two years in football. After a year at Cameron University, he continued his education at the University of Oklahoma, achieving a B.A. in marketing with a management minor.

Bill served as house manager at Sigma Nu fraternity. He married Georgia Compton prior to his senior year at OU.

Lesley Hendrix-Yelton

Memorial service for Lesley Sara Hendrix-Yelton of El Reno was held Oct. 22, 2020, at First Pentecostal Church of God with Dean Eskew officiating.

Lesley passed away Oct. 12, 2020, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon. She was born May 21, 1983, in Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. Lesley loved playing basketball, riding 4-wheelers and watching her sons play football. She was a great aunt to her nieces and nephews.
