Kathy Mulanax

On Oct. 29, 2020, our beautiful, loving, faithful and loyal friend was called to heaven. Kathy Mulanax was born in El Reno on Nov. 13, 1946. She leaves behind her partner of 40 years; two brothers, Steve Mulanax and wife, Linda, and Tommy (Buck) Mulanax and wife, Peggy; uncle, Ted Mulanax and wife, Ann, and aunt, Betty Mulanax of Texas; and a host of friends, nieces and nephews.

To those of us blessed to know her, we could all count on her to respond to any suggestion with a no, only to come back with okay in five minutes.

We’ll miss that and so much more.

Martin Wayne Hoselton

Martin Wayne Hoselton was born to Gordon K. and Georgie (Turner) Hoselton in El Reno on Jan. 5, 1961. He attended El Reno Public Schools, graduating from El Reno High School in May 1979. 

Martin worked at Champlain’s Gas Station for his parents while growing up, and Page Air Field, Acme Brick Company, Johnson’s Oil Company and National Oil Supply before he married Barbara Ann Buxton on Jan. 30, 1982.

After his marriage he worked at Weatherford International, Blowout Tools, Wildcat Oil Tools and Yellowjacket.

Jeffrey Dean Bollinger

Body

Jeffrey Dean Bollinger, 58, of Tulsa, passed from this life on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, with family by his side.

He was born Jan. 15, 1962, in El Reno to his parents, Jerald Gene Bollinger and Micki Ann Schumacher Bollinger. He married Bridget Mary Detloff on Dec. 4, 1993, in Tulsa, and they have shared over 26 years together.

Sean Gilmore

Graveside services for Sean “Bucky” Gilmore of El Reno will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 in the El Reno Cemetery.

Mr. Gilmore passed away Nov. 2, 2020, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City with his family by his side. He was born Sept. 22, 1957, in El Reno. He spent the majority of his workforce on the railroad and as a truck driver. He was an Army Reserve veteran, and most importantly, a self-proclaimed barbecue champion.

He had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Bucky married Denise Ramsey on Oct. 24, 1981, in El Reno.

Marlene Gibson

On Nov. 6, 2020, Marlene Gibson was taken by the hand of our heavenly father to her new home. Upon her arrival, she will be greeted by her husband, Tom Gibson; her parents, Arthur W. and Nancy Delphine Elwell; her in-laws, Ernest and Lillie Mae Gibson; her grandson, William Jake Austin; and her son-in-law, Lenny Ward.

Marlene was born in Norwood, Mass. She attended the University of Maryland and the University of Oklahoma where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education.

Memorial service for Kenneth Earl Potter of El Reno was held Monday at First Baptist Church of Yukon with Clark Wrather officiating. Services were under the direction of Yanda & Son Funeral Home of Yukon.

Kenneth passed away Oct. 29, 2020, at his home. He was born July 27, 1956, in Oklahoma City. He was employed with Schwarz Ready Mix for 40 years.

Jerry Quisenberry

Jerry Quisenberry, 77, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020.

Jerry was born Aug. 7, 1943, to J E and Imogene Quisenberry in Quanah, Texas. He grew up in Robert Lee, Texas, where he played several sports and was active in debate and FFA. Jerry was baptized in 1954, at the age of 11, in the Robert Lee Baptist Church.

After high school he attended Texas A&M University in College Station where he earned first his bachelor’s degree in agronomy and then his Ph.D. in genetics.

Willie Frazier Sr.

Memorial services for Willie Vern Frazier Sr. of El Reno will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at Jenks Simmons Field House.

Willie passed away Nov. 1, 2020, at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born May 13, 1941, in El Reno. Willie was a graduate of Booker T. Washington and Central State University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology.

He served in the U.S. Army and was employed 31 years with the U.S. Postal Service.

Willie spent a lifetime mentoring youth even after retirement at the Juvenile Detention Center in El Reno.

Roberta Keena Curtis

Roberta J. Keena Curtis died Nov. 1, 2020, in El Reno. She was born Oct. 21, 1943, in Sioux Falls, S.D., and was raised in El Reno, graduating from Sacred Heart High School.

Roberta received a master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.

For many years she was employed as a telephone operator with AT&T and later worked in other positions. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma City.

Bobbie was an avid reader, excelled playing Trivia Pursuit and volunteered at the Learning Center teaching English.
