Jerry Jolly

Body

A graveside memorial service for Jerry Dean Jolly of Chickasha will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. Jolly passed away Jan. 25, 2021. He was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Minco and graduated from Minco High School in 1953. He was a member of the Oklahoma National Guard.

David Gore

Graveside services for David Harl Gore of Piedmont, a former Minco resident, were held Feb. 4 at the Hazel Dell Cemetery in Minco. Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. Gore passed away Jan. 30, 2021, at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Jan. 11, 1959, in Tuttle.

David was raised in the Minco community, graduating from Minco High School in 1976. He had worked as a liner hanger in the oil field and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.

Brian Keith Davis

Body

Brian Keith Davis, 60, passed away after a long and courageous 18-month battle against cancer on Jan. 27, 2021, with his family at his side.

Brian was born April 29, 1960, at Camp Hanford Army Hospital in Richland, Wash., to Lloyd and Velva Davis.

He grew up in El Reno and went on to marry Theresa Hodges, celebrating 35 years of marriage on Dec. 5, 2020. 

Brian retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas after 20 years and then went on to be an independent contract pipeline inspector from Arkansas to Texas to Wyoming until his cancer diagnosis.

Billy Earn Chapman

Body

Billy Earn Chapman died peacefully at his home in El Reno on Jan. 27, 2021, with his family by his side.

Billy was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Bromide. A longtime resident of El Reno, he worked at Pan-Tex Cleaners for many years before retiring. In 1952, he married the love of his life, Bina Janice Faler, who survives him. 

Billy was an avid fisherman and a member of the Oklahoma Bass Association of the Deaf.

Delmond Gawhega Jr.

Body

Graveside service for Delmond Wayne Gawhega Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Concho Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Benson Memorial Chapel. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Delmond died Jan. 24, 2021, at his home in Hammon. He was born May 30, 1974, in Clinton and was raised in El Reno, later moving to Ethete, Wyo. He returned to Oklahoma two years ago. Bubba was a carpenter and attended the Indian Baptist Church in El Reno.

Regina Coffey Alig

Body

Regina Coffey Alig passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2021, in Houston, Texas. She was born July 22, 1944, in Pasadena, Calif., to Eugene and Lucille (Hufnagel) Coffey, both from Okarche. Regina was the oldest of nine children. She and her siblings grew up on the Naval Ordinance Test Station at China Lake, Calif., where her father served in the U.S. Navy and later as a civilian engineer.

Ray Thomas Hubbard

Body

Ray Thomas Hubbard, 79, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, in Burleson, Texas, with his wife by his side. 

Ray was born April 13, 1941, to Oscar and Lenice Hubbard in Minco, joining his siblings, Wallace and Donna.

The family eventually settled in El Reno where he attended Lincoln Elementary School, Etta Dale Junior High School and El Reno High School.

Lawrence Ortega

Body

Lawrence T. (Larry) Ortega passed away Jan. 23, 2021, in Oklahoma City. Larry was born Nov. 7, 1939, in Lansing, Mich., and was a longtime resident of El Reno.

He was a graduate of Southwestern State College in Weatherford and an Air Force veteran. He was retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons and was a church music director.

Florita Crawford

Graveside services for Florita (Rita) Crawford of El Reno were held Friday in Calumet.

Rita passed away Jan. 23, 2021, at St. Anthony’s in Oklahoma City. She was born April 17, 1942, in Geary. She married Larry Crawford on June 7, 1960, in El Reno. Rita and Larry managed a small hotel and owned Crawfords Drive-In during the late 1970s and early ‘80s in Carrolton, Mo. After moving to Oklahoma in the early ‘80s, Rita worked for a short time for Mutual of Omaha Insurance and had a few more small business ventures later on in her life.

Joel Madbull

Graveside services for Joel Maynard Madbull were held Thursday at the Concho Cemetery with Rev. Eleanor Madbull officiating. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Joel died Jan. 24, 2021, in Oklahoma City. He was born Dec. 26, 1963, in Clinton. He was raised in Geary where he attended Geary High School and was on the wrestling and football teams. He later moved to El Reno and then to Oklahoma City where he lived most of his life.

He was employed as a commercial roofer.
