Wayne Donald Fees

Wayne Donald “Don” Fees was born May 28, 1937, at home in El Reno to Wayne and Virginia Bright Fees. He died April 3, 2021, in Edmond.

Aside from some time away on military assignment, Don and his wife, Faun spent most of their life in Canadian County around their El Reno home or the family farm in Calumet.

Don had a career in the military where he served as a Major in the U.S. Military Police in the United States Army.

Drew Adam Boling

Drew Adam Boling, 34, of El Reno, passed away April 1, 2021, in El Reno.

Drew was born Oct. 19, 1986, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City to his parents, Jack and Tammy Boling. His 10-month-old brother, Hunter greeted him and in a few years his sister, Murphy completed the family.

Drew loved football and was part of a championship Little League team. He was a proud member of the El Reno Indians football team.

He graduated valedictorian from El Reno High School in 2005. He was lay coach for the El Reno High School Indians for two years in college.

Susan Hill

Body

Susan Hill passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021, at age 72. She was born Susan Kay Kamm on Jan. 21, 1949, in Alva. She was the oldest of four siblings born to Kenneth and Dorothy Kamm. She grew up and lived the majority of her life in El Reno, only recently moving to Yukon with her husband. Susan was married to Bill Hill on Oct. 26, 1985.

She was a 1967 graduate of Weatherford High School, having previously attended El Reno Public Schools until her senior year. She went on to receive a professional medical degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1979.

Morgan Sanders

Graveside services for Morgan Chantal Sanders of Del City, formerly of Mustang, were held Tuesday at the Union City Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

Morgan passed away April 1, 2021, at her father’s home in Mustang.

She was born July 10, 1988, in Oklahoma City. She was raised in Mustang and attended Mustang schools. Morgan owned her own business in Del City and was a personal assistant for the owner of a disposal well service.

Dr. John N. Eischen

John Eischen was born to Jack and Anna (Naberhaus) Eischen on Oct. 29, 1932, in Okarche, and died peacefully on March 29, 2021.

John graduated from Holy Trinity School in 1950 and Oklahoma A&M with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1956. He married Anita (Hufnagel) Eischen on Aug. 17, 1957. He joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1959.

John was a successful businessman, founding the Canadian Valley Animal Clinic in 1959 and the Big Red Dog Food Company in 1968. After a successful private practice, he continued his veterinary career with the USDA.

Marilyn Kay Wilds

Marilyn “Katy” Kay Wilds was born March 4, 1942, in El Reno to Raymond and Opal (Swaffer) Arnold. She passed away March 29, 2021, in El Reno.

Marilyn grew up in Calumet, where she graduated from high school. Following high school she attended Draughn’s Business School.

On March 13, 1964, she married M.G. “Chigger” Wilds and together they shared 57 wonderful years. The two of them enjoyed farming together for over 50 years and loved spending time with their family. Marilyn and M.G. were members of Putnam City Baptist Church.

Betty Jane ZumMallen

Funeral services for Betty Jane ZumMallen will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Okarche, with burial following at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Come-and-go viewing will be held at Wilson Funeral Home in Kingfisher on Monday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Betty passed away March 30, 2021, in Oklahoma City. She was born Sept. 19, 1930, in Little Rock, Ark. She was a graduate of Oklahoma A&M, now OSU. Betty married LeRoy ZumMallen on April 12, 1958.

Don L. Deatherage

Donald L. Deatherage passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at his home. He was born Dec. 12, 1937, in Shawnee.

After graduating from El Reno High School in 1956 and Oklahoma State University four years later, he married the love of his life, Marie, on Sept. 1, 1960.

He was a co-owner of Dee’s Tire Store in El Reno for many years, later working with car dealerships and at Sears Tire Center at Quail Springs. He served as a deacon and elder at First Presbyterian Church, and was a former chairman of the Board of Trustees of Park View Hospital.

Graveside memorial services for Catherine Lynn “Cathy” Oaks of Minco will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Cathy passed away March 23, 2021, at the Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. She was born July 7, 1953, in Oklahoma City.

Cathy was raised in the Oklahoma City area, attending Putnam City schools.

She was a licensed practical nurse and a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Minco.

Eugene Spence

Graveside services for Eugene Spence of Minco will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 31 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco with Rev. Bob Hines officiating.

Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Eugene passed away March 26, 2021, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Nov. 8, 1952, in Newton, Kan.

Eugene was a mechanic and truck driver and a member of Hazel Dell Baptist Church in Minco.
