Funeral services for William L. Pawnee Jr. will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Concho Community Hall, with burial following in the Concho Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

William died Aug. 3, 2021, in El Reno. He was born Dec. 17, 1962, in Clinton. He was a construction framer and member of the Native American Church.

William is survived by his brother, Freeman Pawnee of El Reno; stepbrother, Rodney Candyfire, and stepsister, Shelley Yates, both of Clinton.

Sequoyah Locust

Body

A wake for Louis Sequoyah Locust will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Concho Community Hall. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, also at the Concho Community Hall, with burial following in the Concho Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Sequoyah passed away July 29, 2021, at Bear Butte State Park in South Dakota.

Memorial services for Jeffrey Warrner Watt of Cogar will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6 at the RV Clubhouse at Lake El Reno.

Jeff passed away July 24, 2021. He was born Dec. 1, 1961, in El Reno. He was employed as maintenance with El Reno Public Schools and was a member of Chiliwonkers.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Karlene Riggs; father, James Watt; and sister, Pamela Riggs.

Lindell Marie Brown

Memorial service for Lindell Marie Brown will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 at Huber-Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Craig E. Johnson officiating.

Lindell died July 21, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born Oct. 12, 1950, in Okarche to Minnie and Lafayette Russell.

She attended Booker T. Washington School and graduated from El Reno High School. After graduating, she and her best friend, Ginny Carol, attended business college in Oklahoma City. She took up carpeting, and was the manager of several retail stores in Oklahoma, Texas and California.

Memorial service for Chauncey Moore will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Geary Cheyenne-Arapaho Community Building with Donovan Birdshead officiating.

Services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Hinton.

Chauncey passed away July 16, 2021, in Gallup, N.M. He was born May 27, 1972, in Watonga. He was an engineering technician employed in NonDestructive Engineering.

Survivors include his sister, Georgia McGee of El Reno, and brother, Gerald Moore.

Billy Mae Chadwick

Funeral services for Billy Mae Chadwick were held Monday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the El Reno Cemetery. 

Billy passed away July 28, 2021, in Oklahoma City. She was born May 19, 1945, in Poteau to William and Alvessie Nelson. Billy graduated from Hinton High School Class of 1964. She worked various jobs throughout her life. She made many friends while working at Daylight Donuts and at her nursing home jobs. Above all, she loved caring for her family and was a devoted wife and mother to her children.

Benny Dale Foreman

Body

Funeral services for Benny Dale Foreman were held Friday, July 30, 2021, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the El Reno Cemetery.

Benny passed away July 25, 2021, in Oklahoma City. He was born July 31, 1935, in Hydro to Fred and Beulah Foreman and was their fourth child. Benny served in the U.S. Air Force and was discharged in September of 1957. He then went to work for the Rock Island Railroad and later with the El Reno Reformatory until his retirement in 1985.

John A. Bullen, M.D.

Graveside services for John A. Bullen, M.D., were held Thursday, July 29, 2021, in the El Reno Cemetery with Allen Carson of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Services were under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Dr. Bullen died July 25, 2021, at his home in Oklahoma City. He was born June 12, 1946, in Dallas, Texas. He lived in Geary before moving to El Reno in 1958.

As a child he raised and showed sheep, and loved playing sports including basketball, football, baseball, softball and track.

Winfred Loy Garrett

Body

Winfred Loy Garrett died July 26, 2021, at his home in Yukon. He was born March 3, 1943, in Minco to Wesley and Lorene (Eason) Garrett.

He was raised in Cogar and El Reno and in 1960 enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge he worked at Aero Commander and then moved to Washington to work at the Tacoma Boat Company and later at Boeing in Seattle where was an electrician flight tester. He lived in Gig Harbor, Wash., for 22 years with his wife, Sharon.
