Funeral services for Leslie M. Garrison were held Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Hinton with Rev. Steve Murray and Garland Delk officiating. Burial was in the Hinton Cemetery under the direction of Turner Funeral Home.

Mr. Garrison passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, in Oklahoma City at the age of 77. He was born April 26, 1942, in Lookeba to Owen Fane and Elsie Agnes (Cauthron) Garrison. Leslie graduated from Hinton High School in 1961 and attended the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. Les married Billie Taylor on Jan. 20, 1978, in Denton, Texas. He started working in the oil and gas industry for AMF Tubescope and was instrumental in starting Garrison Brothers Oilfield Service where he remained an important asset to the company until his passing. 

Leslie enjoyed golf, watching football and watching TV. He was a member of the Elks Club and a member of First Baptist Church in Hinton. He had lived in El Reno for the past 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Garrison of the home; his son, Damon Garrison and wife, Michelle of El Reno; six grandchildren, Blake Garrison, Brynlee Crawford, Katee Crawford and Bradley Winlock, all of El Reno, Malloree Mailloux of Oklahoma City and Britany Abner of Clinton; three great-grandchildren, Luke and Decklynn Mailloux and Ember Abner; eight siblings, William Garrison and wife, Kaye of Oklahoma City, Kathryn Chisum and husband, Roy of Hinton, Brenda Garrison of El Reno, Rick Garrison of Mustang, Valerie Musser and husband, Frank of Mustang, Cheryl Garrison of Yukon, Carol Garrison of Hinton and Terral Garrison and wife, Sandy of Hinton; two sisters-in-law, Mary Kaye Garrison of Chickasha and Glenda Garrison of Kemp, Texas; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Owen “Dock” and Elsie Garrison, and two brothers, Leonard Garrison and Jody Garrison.
