Janice Kay Plumley

Janice Kay Plumley was born Dec. 8, 1947.

She passed away peacefully June 19, 2025, in El Reno, surrounded by the people she loved. 

Janice was the daughter of Raymond Ruskin Stovall and June Evelyn (Banta) Stovall. She was a graduate of Minco High School. She married and soon became a young mother to three sons.

Later she returned to her studies, becoming a certified paralegal, and proudly spent many years working with some of Oklahoma’s most respected attorneys and law firms.

David Cash

Body

David Aaron Cash passed away at Communities of Wildwood Ranch skilled nursing facility on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.  

David was born in El Reno on June 8, 1950, to Victor and Joyce Cash. He graduated high school in El Reno and attended Oklahoma Baptist University, where he majored in music history with organ as his instrument major. He moved to Arkansas and was a cross-country truck driver for a year and taught truck driving. Moving back to Oklahoma, he attended Oklahoma University and studied music.

Raymond Chavez

Raymond Chavez, 73, of El Reno, passed away peacefully June 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 14, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, Raymond lived a full and meaningful life that touched the hearts of many.

Raymond was a man of deep faith, unwavering strength and quiet perseverance. Throughout his life, he overcame great challenges with grace and courage.

For the last 34 years, he lived soberly and with purpose ― committed to his faith, his family, and helping others find their own path to healing and hope.

Lawrence Pohlpeter

Lawrence Wayne “Larry” Pohlpeter, age 73, a resident of Terral, Oklahoma, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at his home northeast of Terral.    

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at First Baptist Church Terral. 

Larry was born May 6, 1952, in Fort Madison, Iowa, to Raymond and Myrtle (Miller) Pohlpeter. He graduated from high school in Fort Madison, then attended college at Northeastern Missouri.

Wilann Heinrich LaFoe

Wilann Heinrich LaFoe, 72, passed away June 10, 2025, at her family home in Yukon, surrounded by her loving family.

Wilann was born Jan. 30, 1953, in El Reno. She was a 1972 El Reno High School graduate. On March 2, 1973, she married Mike LaFoe and together they built a big, beautiful family.

Muriel Pawnee

Body

Former El Reno resident Muriel “Malley” Pawnee died June 3, 2025, at her home in Oklahoma City.  

A wake will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 8, with funeral services set for 2 p.m. Monday, June 9.

Both services will be at the Concho Emergency Response Center with Rev. Waylan Upchego officiating.

Burial will be in the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. 

Jorene Combs

Body

Funeral services for Jorene Combs will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 10 at Huber-Benson Funeral Home, with burial following at the Concho Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 9 at Huber-Benson.

Jorene died June 3, 2025, at her home in Oklahoma City. 

Daisy Anthony

Graveside services for Daisy Virginia Anthony will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6 at the Gracemont Cemetery.

Daisy passed away June 1, 2025, at her home. She was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Edmond and attended Gracemont Public Schools.

Daisy was a baker for Cassidy Square and Penn Square Bakeries and later worked at Children’s Orchard as a seamstress.

She dedicated herself to raising her family and managing the home.

Juanita King

Body

Juanita “Nita” Gail King was born Nov. 15, 1962, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Geneva Ervin. They moved to Greenfield where Nita attended school.

She married David Christopher Seitter, deceased, in 1977, and their daughter, Shannon was born in 1979.

Nita had been involved in the health-care industry. She loved growing plants, gardening and crafting with driftwood. 

Nita, a longtime resident of El Reno, passed away May 27, 2025, at Integris SW in Oklahoma City after a short illness. 

She was preceded in death by her sister, Anita King. 

Austin Garrett Fox

Body

Austin came into this world Aug. 5, 1987, in Oklahoma City to Gene Fox and LuCinda Dillingham Lynch. He was the oldest grandson to Dean and Sandra Dillingham and Vondel and Phyllis Fox of El Reno. 

Austin was preceded in death by his father, Gene, and both his grandfathers, Dean and Vondel. 

Austin was the nephew of Kyle and Kary Dillingham of El Reno, Nanette Jordan and Joe Fox, Blake Dillingham, Brady Dillingham and son, Hudson, plus many more cousins.
