Graveside services for Marsha Gail (Blair) Wagnon of Afton were held March 19, 2020, in the Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay. Services were under the direction of Boydston-Wilbourn Funeral Home.

Marsha passed away March 13, 2020, in Afton. She was born Aug. 9, 1952, in Elk City. She married Brock Wagnon on June 28, 1974, in El Reno. Marsha had an associate degree in accounting and had worked in the banking industry. She was also a dog groomer.

Herbert L. Atkins

Private family services for Herbert L. Atkins will be held March 27, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Mr. Atkins passed away March 14, 2020, in Oklahoma City. He was born Aug. 6, 1947, in Oklahoma City. Herb was a member of VFW Post 382.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He owned Herby’s BBQ in El Reno for many years until he retired in 2010. After retiring he enjoyed lake life, fishing, riding motorcycles, off-roading with his buddies and playing cards.

Frank “Rootbeer” Hedge of El Reno, born Nov. 20, 1941, in Santa Monica, Calif., died peacefully on March 11, 2020, in Edcouch, Texas.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank McCrory Hedge and Ivy Florence Olive (Bowell) Hedge.

Margaret Frances Patrick

Body

Funeral services for Margaret Frances Patrick were held Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeff Klade officiating. Burial followed in the El Reno Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Patrick died March 16, 2020, at her home in El Reno. She was born Nov. 11, 1933, in McLoud, the daughter of Bert Sr. and Minnie Lack Cox. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and the Ladies Guild.

Margaret married Ray Patrick on April 16, 1954. Ray survives her.

Raquel Luna Garcia

Body

Funeral services for Raquel Luna Garcia will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Raquel died March 14, 2020, at home in El Reno. She was born Oct. 19, 1929, in Enid. Raquel was raised in El Paso before returning to Enid during her teen years. There she met and married Pete Garcia and they moved to El Reno where they made their home.  They had three children.

Prayer service for Regina Mary Schwarz was held Monday, March 16 at Sacred Heart Church, with Mass of Christian Burial held Tuesday, March 17 at Sacred Heart Church with Revs. Louis Philip and Lance Warren officiating. Burial followed in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Okarche. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Regina, 85, of El Reno, died March 13, 2020. She was born in Okarche to John and Rose Alig Grellner. She graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Okarche in 1952.

Robert Reyes Jr.

Body

Visitation for Robert Reyes Jr. will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 in the Benson Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 19 in the El Reno Cemetery with Pastor Dick Kurtz officiating. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Home.

Mr. Reyes died March 11, 2020, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Dec. 25, 1979, in Vasalia, Calif. 

A diesel mechanic, he was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Nebraska Cornhuskers and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Memorial services for Herbert Atkins, former El Reno resident, are pending with Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Herbert died March 14, 2020, at Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City. 

Keith Edward Schemmer

A memorial celebration for Keith Edward Schemmer of Kingfisher will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020, at the Federated Church at 400 W. Fay Avenue in Kingfisher. Services are under the direction of McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang.

Mr. Schemmer died at home on Feb. 18, 2020. He was born in Kingfisher on June 8, 1953, to Frederick and Mary Jane (Mackey) Schemmer. He graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1971. Keith worked for different companies over the years, primarily Pioneer Telephone, Schweitzer Gypsum & Lime and P&K Equipment.

Jeannie O’Neal

Jeannie (Loyall) O’Neal was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. She passed away at her home in Mustang that she shared with her loving daughter, Kimberlie, and grandson, Preston “P.”

Jeannie was a lifelong resident of El Reno, born March 7, 1944, to Gerlenas and Henry Loyall. She graduated from El Reno High School in 1962. After graduating, Jeannie got a job at Citizen National Bank where she spent many of her adult years. Jeannie then moved on to become a clerk at the Canadian County Assessor’s Office where she eventually retired.
