Dianna Fay (Ashton) Alexander went to live for eternity with her Lord on Dec. 31, 2020. She lost her long battle with cancer at her home in Union City with her loving husband, Joe, by her side.  

Dianna was born to Clyde and Eilleene (Adamson) Ashton in Bakersfield, Calif., on Jan. 5, 1953.

Graveside service to celebrate the life of Laura Jean Buckles was held Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at the Murray Cemetery in Binger. Services were under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.  

Laura was born July 25, 1973, in Weatherford to Herbert and Christine Buckles. She passed away Jan. 2, 2021, in Andover, Kan.

Hazel Darlene (Fullbright) Reeves, 85, lived in Visalia and was a former resident of Springville, Porterville and Exeter, Calif., where she has many friends and family.

Gilbert Lamebull Jr.

Graveside services for Gilbert (Gilly) Lamebull Jr. were held Thursday at the Concho Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Panana officiating. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Gilly died Jan. 2, 2021, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Concho. He was raised in Kingfisher but lived most of his life in Oklahoma City.

He was an accounting technician retired from the Department of the Interior.

Nancy Elkins

Nancy Louise Erbar Boaz Elkins, 85, passed away Dec. 28, 2020, in a care center in Boise, Idaho. Nancy was born July 11, 1935, in El Reno.

She attended school in El Reno, graduating from high school in 1953. She attended Oklahoma State University and earned a bachelor of science degree in microbiology, with a minor in chemistry (unusual for a woman in the ‘50s), graduating in 1957.

In 1959, she married John T. Boaz, and they had a son, Joel, and a daughter, Ann. They were later divorced.

Barbara Joyce Murphy

Barbara Joyce Murphy was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Bethany High School in 1957.

An independent spirit from the start, she crossed racial lines to attend early rock concerts and was also a part-time DJ and magazine distribution center manager before marrying Jerry Murphy and raising two also-independent boys.

In 1992, she retired from Carter/Maxwell Tire Distributor where she was the office manager, assisting most of the major Indy Car drivers of that time.

Services for longtime El Reno resident Billy Lee Husley were held Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Duncan and Grant Findley officiating. Burial followed in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Bill passed away Dec. 30, 2020, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon. He was born July 13, 1952, in Porterville, Calif. He was a school administrator, retired from the Canadian Valley Technology Center.

Bill was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast.

Graveside services for Ken-a-rah-diyoh Flynt Minear were held Tuesday at the Concho Cemetery with Gary Dawes officiating. Services were under the direction of Huber-
Benson Funeral Home.

Leaf passed away Dec. 29, 2020. He was born Dec. 14, 1988, in Seattle, Wash. He attended Watonga Public Schools, Riverside Indian School, El Reno High School, graduating in 2007, and Redlands Community College.

Leaf moved to El Reno in 2005 and worked several years for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes in both the R.E.S.P.E.C.T. program and at Lucky Star Casino.

Private funeral mass for James (Jim) Greggory Coughlan was held Dec. 31 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kingfisher. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Jim passed away Dec. 27, 2020. He was born Dec. 11, 1950, and was raised on a farm east of Loyal. He graduated from Lomega High School in 1969 and went on to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University, graduating with a bachelor of science in accounting in 1973.

Private services for James Leslie Ring will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Hinton.

James passed away Jan. 1, 2021, at his home in El Reno.

He was born Jan. 21, 1951, in Oklahoma City. He lived most of his childhood in the Bethany area, attending Bethany schools. He then moved to Yukon in 1980.

He was a mechanic and lathe operator for many years until retiring in 1987.
