Betty Jean (Cowan) Klingman passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 14, 2026. She was born Sept. 26, 1933, in Sterling to Harley and Burtey Cowan.

Betty was a sweet and gentle woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved drawing and painting pictures, tending to her garden and spending time at Lake Eufaula. She cherished moments with her family and enjoyed antique shopping, birdwatching, reading and working crossword puzzles. Her warm spirit and quiet kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Royetta Sue White will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 20 at First Baptist Church in Calumet with Pastor David Hardin officiating. Burial will be in the Calumet Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Tommy Mulanax

Body

Tommy Jack Mulanax, age 74, passed away May 12, 2026, at his home in El Reno.

Tommy, known to his friends as Buck, was born Dec. 12, 1951, in Okarche. In his years of life, he wore many hats - he served in the Navy during Vietnam, made a career at General Motors, and made a family with his beloved wife, Peggy Ruth Mulanax, to whom he was married for 54 years.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughters, Meghan and Miranda; son, Michael; grandson, Josh, and granddaughters, Hope, Peyton and Audrey.

Services for John Thomas “J.T.” Adams of Minco will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 19 at Minco First Baptist Church, with burial following at the Evergreen Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

J.T. passed away May 15, 2026, at his home. He was born June 23, 1932, on a farm west of Minco.

After graduating from Minco High School in 1950, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Shirley Johnson

Body

Shirley passed away May 10, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Jan. 4, 1934, in Leavenworth, Kansas, to Walter and Alice Rowe. After graduating from El Reno High School in 1951, she married the love of her life, Bob Johnson, on June 16, 1951.

Their ceremony took place in the chapel at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois - a beginning to a lifelong partnership filled with love and devotion.

Porntip Kuykendall

On May 11, 2026, Porntip Kuykendall was taken to heaven by a band of angels. She was born in Udorn, Thailand, on March 8, 1947. 

Porntip worked for the Air Force for 25 years at different bases all over the United States.

She greatly enjoyed her flower garden and feeding the finches.

She and her husband, Ron traveled all over the United States and enjoyed visiting the National Monuments. 

Porntip is survived by her husband, Ron Kennedy of the home; daughter, Kimberly Kuykendall of California; and her first husband, Gary Wayne Kuykendall of Chickasha.

As in Joe’s most recent recording – Changes - which he finished writing on Thanksgiving 2025, he traded his worn-out body for his angel wings on May 4, 2026, at 8:33 a.m. at home, surrounded by family. 

Joe was born August 7, 1956, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, to Joe and Betty Rubach Haller.

Mary Roberta Patton

Mary Roberta Patton, 82, of El Reno, passed away May 1, 2026, in El Reno.

Roberta was born October 22, 1943, in Roswell, N.M., to Ralph Robert Gray and Mary Jane Gray. Both of her parents died from tuberculosis when she was young, and she went to live with her Granny and Aunt Carol.

She graduated from Roswell High School and moved to Las Cruces, N.M., to attend New Mexico State University. Roberta graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics.

She moved to Oklahoma to do her internship at University Hospital and spent a large part of her career there as a Dietitian.

Lynn Marie Coffey

Lynn Marie Coffey, 74, of Okarche, passed away peacefully May 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born March 9, 1952, in Okarche to Frank and Bernice Krittenbrink, Lynn was a proud lifelong member of the community she cherished so deeply. She graduated from Okarche High School, and not long after, met the love of her life, Mike Coffey.

Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, family, and unwavering devotion.

Lynn was a faithful servant of Holy Trinity Church, and a steady, caring presence in the Okarche community.

Minnie Goodbear

Body

Wake service for Minnie Elizabeth Goodbear will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 8, with funeral services at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 9.

Both services will be at the Concho Emergency Response Center, with burial in the Concho Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. 

Minnie died May 1, 2026, in Albuquerque, N.M.
