Canadian County commissioners on Monday approved guidelines for the public as the courthouse and administrative offices reopen.

Guidelines are as follows:

▶ Doors will be open in a limited fashion.

▶ If you as a citizen are sick, stay home. If you have a temperature of 100.4 or higher, stay home.

▶ Citizens are encouraged to continue to conduct their business with Canadian County by phone, electronically or mail if possible.

▶ Call in advance to the office or department for which you need to conduct business and find out any specific restrictions or guidelines that are required in that office or department.

▶ If you enter Canadian County offices or facilities, be prepared to either wait in a queue at a minimum of 6-foot spacing, or to be asked to wait outside or in your vehicle until space is available.

▶ A mask will be provided to you if you do not have one of your own.

Employees and/or offices and departments

▶ Seek specific directions/guidance from your elected official or department head for specific instructions as to your work schedule, duty station or health and safety guidelines outside of Gov. Stitt’s ongoing directive.

▶ If you are uncomfortable returning to work for any reason or you are uncomfortable with your work environment or your work area, you must let your elected official or supervisor know as soon as possible to see if accommodations can be made under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.

▶ Hand sanitizer dispensers/stations will be distributed throughout county offices. Emergency Management will provide masks to employees/staff upon request.
