El Reno police were investigating what was reported to be the body of a deceased man found around 5 a.m. Thursday. 

The body was said to be on the side of the road on Choctaw, just south of SW 27th Street.

Police had used crime scene tape to restrict access along Choctaw and to the east along SW 27th.

Interim Police Chief Kirk Dickerson said authorities hoped to release information soon about the investigation.
