Body The filing period for the Ward 3 seat on the El Reno City Council will open at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24. The filing period will close at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26.Candidates must file with the Canadian County Election Board, located in downtown El Reno.

Body Canadian County commissioners enacted an outdoor burn ban effective until Monday, Aug. 24. Commissioners took the action after holding an emergency meeting Thursday morning. The outdoor ban will be reconsidered at the commissioners regular weekly meeting at 9 a.m. Monday.
