Indians wrap 5A-1 run

Key plays in the field and at the plate helped El Reno High School’s baseball team win back-to-back one-run games over Del City last week to close out District 5A-1 action.

With the sweep, the Indians third in league play, El Reno finished in fifth place with an 8-6 record. But that finish could improve a spot depending on the outcome of a Guthrie/Bishop McGuinness makeup game.

El Reno, now 16-18 on the spring, won the first game of the series at the Hub Reed Complex by a 3-2 score.
