Body Wake service for Eugenia Mae Chouteau will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, with funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday, both in the Benson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Concho Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. Eugenia died May 27, 2020, in Blair.

Monte Dirickson

Body Graveside memorial service for former El Reno resident Monte Ray Dirickson will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home. Monte died May 26, 2020, at his home in Oklahoma City.  

James Black Bear Jr.

Body Wake service for James Edmond Black Bear Jr. will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Pow Wow Grounds in Concho. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Benson Memorial Chapel with burial in the Concho Cemetery.

Frances Zent

Body Graveside services for former El Reno resident Frances (Dorine) Zent will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2020, in the El Reno Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.  Dorine died March 23, 2020, in Tucson, Ariz., with her family by her side.

Mary King

Body Graveside service for Mary King, 87, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the El Reno Cemetery Pavilion. Viewing will be Sunday, May 31 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. 

Philip York

Body Philip Shane York of El Reno passed away May 25, 2020. Services are pending with Wilson Funeral Home.

Sacred Heart holds awards parade to close out year

Body Sacred Heart Catholic School celebrated the end of the school year on May 21 with an awards parade. Students were given awards packets and were able to see their teachers one last time before the summer during the car parade.

Redlands regents discuss budget, plans during virtual meeting

Body Redlands Community College Board of Regents held a virtual meeting May 14. Five of the regents were present in the Redlands conference room, adhering to CDC guidelines by keeping their distance. Using the Zoom app, they conferenced with a collection of guests and speakers.
