El Reno High School’s softball team capped off a tough run through the Bixby Invitational with an 8-7 win over Henryetta on a bases-loaded walk by Chenoa White.
The free pass scored Iliana Ashford from third as the Indians went 2-3 in the tournament.
El Reno’s other win was a 13-1 blitz of Checotah, while the losses were to Class 6A teams Bixby (8-4), Edmond Memorial (13-0) and Tulsa Union (4-3).
El Reno is now 8-12 on the season.

El Reno Public Schools seems to have landed square in the cross-hairs of the coronavirus.
On Monday, 60 students with access to El Reno High School, Jenks Simmons Field House and Lincoln Learning Center were placed into quarantine after being exposed to COVID-19.
“We feel like we have been dodging bullet after bullet but this time we have students and faculty not only showing symptoms but are getting sick,” said McVay.
