Playing through a steady rain for three and a half quarters, El Reno High School’s football team stayed in the hunt for a berth in the postseason with a 66-8 blowout of John Marshall.

El Reno moved to 3-5 overall with its largest winning margin of the season. More importantly, the Indians remain tied with Lawton and Noble for the fourth and final playoff spot from District 5A-2 with a 2-3 record.

RCC seeks revenge in Region 2 tourney

Second-half goals from Paige Treat and Ashanti Lewis lifted Redlands Community College women’s soccer team to a 2-0 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

By winning the regular-season finale, the Cougars charge into the NJCAA Region 2 Championship for the first time since 2018 as the third seed out of the North Division.

Redlands was 5-7 in the NJCAA Region 2 regular-season standings for sixth overall. Beau Richmond’s team was 7-7-1 for the year, its best record since 2018.
