Kolar waives his right to jury trial in death of son

The man charged with leaving his young son to die in a pickup on an August day in 2018 will be sentenced for his crime after waiving his right to a jury trial.

Adam Kolar is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his 3-year-old son, Ryker.

Assistant District Attorney Eric Epplin said Kolar waived his right to a jury trial. He will enter a plea and be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 24 in Canadian County District Court.
