Sheriff West rides on with plans for posse

Canadian County Sheriff Chris West said his volunteer posse is ready for training.

West said last summer he intended to create a Citizen Posse to help protect the citizens of Canadian County. West said within 24 hours his office received more than 500 online applications, many of whom lived outside of Canadian County.

A technology firm based in Las Vegas, Nev., has partnered with Lucky Star Casino to donate equipment to help keep El Reno children safe from COVID-19

eConnect has partnered with Lucky Star Casino to provide innovative COVID-19 thermal camera solution eClear™ to public schools in the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes tribal jurisdiction.

The devices are intended to ensure student and faculty safety as they gather in school buildings.
