The award amount of $3,500 was from a grant written specifically to provide personal protective equipment for El Reno Public Schools. The grant was received from the Elks National Foundation to the El Reno Elks Lodge. Over the past seven years, the El Reno Elks Lodge has received 22 grants totaling $64,000 to support the local community.

County students awarded OKC Foundation scholarships

Oklahoma City Community Foundation recently awarded $57,000 in scholarships to 23 Canadian County high school graduates for the 2020-21 academic year through the state’s largest independent scholarship program.

Designed to help a diverse range of students with higher education expenses, Oklahoma City Community Foundation scholarships offer students the ability to pursue careers or colleges they may not have had the opportunity to pursue otherwise.
