LEXINGTON – Incarcerated men in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections are giving back from behind bars.

In a remarkable display of compassion and community spirit, inmates at Joseph Harp Correctional Center and Lexington Reception and Assessment Center are launching a Food and Funds Drive this holiday season to support struggling families during difficult times.

At the JHCC prison barber shop, men use their small salaries to buy food items from the prison canteen.

Arnold triple-double paces CHS, UC falls

With one of the most prolific scoring offenses over the past decade, very few statistical occurrences have not piled up for Calumet High School’s boys basketball team under head coach Jacob Mayfield.

Senior Kingston Arnold changed that by adding a rare triple-double as the Chieftains, the defending Class B state champion, moved to 3-0 on the year with a 97-46 road win over Lomega.

“Kingston was all over the place and he really carved them up. That’s just the second triple-double I’ve seen since I got here in 2015,” said Mayfield.
