The Oklahoma Runners fifth- and sixth-grade girls basketball team won its division in the recent 24th Annual Warriors Showcase in Henryetta.

The Oklahoma Runners fifth- and sixth-grade boys basketball team took runner-up in the recent 24th Annual Warriors Showcase in Henryetta.

El Reno siblings Shyann and Donnie Taylor jiggled and smiled as they played around in a box full of stuffed animals.

It’s the kind of carefree spirit that kids have during the holiday season and those happy faces and laughter is why Colsen Girty loved Christmas over any holiday.

“He loved Christmas, it was his favorite holiday,” said Colsen’s mother, Whitney Sides.

Colsen had a dream of one day buying a Christmas present for every child in the world. However, that dream was cut short by a 2021 auto accident which claimed the life of the 10-year-old.

The Caldwell Collection at Mustang Field will open to the public beginning Jan. 10. 

Scott Law, manager of the El Reno Municipal Airport, said Tony Caldwell wants to gauge community interest in visiting the collection of historic airplanes housed at the airport. 

Starting Jan. 10, the museum will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Caldwell opened the museum in early October.

The aviation museum features dozens of aircraft, mostly from what is considered the Golden Age of American aviation, the 1920s through the 1940s.
