Oklahoma veterans get holiday support

66 Tactical, a private gun club and training center, partnered with the Oklahoma Purple Heart Youth Ambassadors in a food and toy drive to serve families of Oklahoma veterans in need this holiday season.

Each year, the Oklahoma Department of the Military Order of the Purple Heart distributes holiday food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas to ensure that local veterans in need share happy memories around healthy holiday meals with their families.

Oklahoma Teen Film Festival taking entries

The Oklahoma Teen Film Festival is now accepting early bird submissions for the 2026 festival, set for March 28, 2026, on the University of Central Oklahoma campus.

Open exclusively to Oklahoma high school students, the festival provides a level playing field for emerging filmmakers to share their stories and compete with peers from across the state.

Holt pushes election system

In a recent interview, Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt dismissed Oklahoma’s statewide elected officials as “bitterly unpopular” while claiming he and other Oklahoma City leaders have achieved historic levels of support.

Yet election records show the statewide officials Holt dismisses as astoundingly unpopular received far more votes in Oklahoma City precincts than Holt did in his most recent re-election campaign.
