John Dean Chapman

Body

John Dean Chapman was born in El Reno on Aug. 8, 1959, to Billy Earn and Bina Janice (Faler) Chapman. He was a lifelong resident of the El Reno community and a 1977 graduate of El Reno High School.

John married Donna Kay Menz on April 21, 1979. They have two daughters, Kimberly Haller, married to Gray Haller, and Lauren Porter and son-in-law, Darrick Porter. They have four grandchildren, Colton Vaught, Hadlee Haller and Chandon and Brinley Porter.

A husband, father, Poppy, uncle, brother-in-law, brother, friend and role model are just a few of the titles John carried.

Jose Perez

Body

Jose “Joe” Perez died Feb. 26, 2024, at Oklahoma Veterans Center in Clinton. Joe was born April 12, 1947, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Remijio and Aurelia Perez.

He was a longtime resident of El Reno and a regular patron at the local casino.

He served in the U.S. Army as a combat veteran in the Vietnam War. He worked for the city of El Reno for many years and in various departments, being known most for reading water meters.

June Ninman

June Margaret (Boevers) Ninman was born to Lawrence and Olga (Kolar) Boevers on June 29, 1930, in the Rock Island community near Union City.

June was a lifelong resident of the Union City community. She attended numerous country elementary schools and Union City High School.

She worked on the family dairy farm while raising her children, and later worked and retired from Parkview Hospital.

June enjoyed sewing and attending her children and grandchildren’s events as well as visiting with her friends at the Dairy Mart.

Deniece Schwarz

Body

Patricia Deniece Schwarz was born March 11, 1957, in Tulsa to Eddy and Pat (Noblin) Davis. She was raised in numerous towns and cities in Oklahoma as Eddy’s job required the family to relocate periodically.

She was a nurse practitioner specializing in obstetrics and gynecology and was employed by the Oklahoma Health Department for over 25 years.

Deniece and Gary Schwarz were married in January of 1986 in Okarche where they raised their three boys.

Norman Lenhart Jr.

Body

Norman J. Lenhart Jr. of Yukon passed away Feb. 13, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Dec. 7, 1934, in West Chester, Pa.

A Celebration of Life will be held by his children at a later date, with burial in the Frisco Cemetery.

Norman was retired from OG&E and had worked as a mechanic for many years. He loved yard work and gardening.

Norman is survived by his son, Mark Lenhart of Edmond; daughters, Kathi Scott of El Reno and Kim Delgrosso of Oklahoma City, sister, Catherine Meo of Kentucky; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Tyler Youngbull

Private family services for Tyler Moses Youngbull were held Monday, Feb. 19 at North Family Cemetery in Geary with Rev. Waylan Upchego officiating. Services were under the direction of Turner Funeral Home.

Tyler was born Feb. 14, 2024, in Yukon and passed away that same day with his parents by his side.

Arthur Condulle

Body

Funeral services for Arthur Arnold Condulle were held Thursday, Feb. 22 at Geary First Baptist Church with Rev. Emmitt McKenzie and Rev. Eddie Lindsey officiating. Burial was in the Geary Cemetery under the direction of Turner Funeral Home.

Bonnie Warren

Body

Bonnie Ellen Warren was born Nov. 23, 1950, to George and Edith Havener of El Reno. She died Feb. 16, 2024, in Oklahoma City.

Bonnie grew up in El Reno with her parents and was the oldest of six children. She spent much of her youth working on her family property, helping to tend to her two brothers and three sisters after studying.

Karen Barnard

Body

Karen Michelle Meade Barnard, 51, of Calumet, died at her home surrounded by her family and friends on Feb. 17, 2024.

Karen was born in El Reno on April 7, 1972, to Allen and Pam Meade. She attended Calumet School while attending Canadian Valley Vo-Tech, graduating in 1990. Karen started work at OKC West Livestock in 1991 and dedicated her life to her second home for 33 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Lydia Meade and Catherine and Gordon Lloyd.

Donald Corn

Body

Donald L. Corn went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Enid to his parents, George and Helen Corn.

Don was raised in El Reno, where he graduated high school. He married Marilyn in March of 1965, and they were married for over 57 years.

Don spent many years working on the railroad before moving into the oil and gas industry. He was a contract pumper for multiple companies. He worked hard and loved doing it, most days with his German Shepherds along for the ride.
