Drainage plan in city flowing

Body

Drainage projects in El Reno continue to move forward.

Work is currently being done just north of Sunset on Reno. Public Works crews have been on the location for several weeks, tearing out trees to clear the drainage ditch and cleaning up the ground.

A few feet away, crews are making repairs to a wall that was damaged by flooding earlier this year. The heavy rains caused part of the wall to cave in. The road fell in a bit as well.

Barking at your feet

Body

There are four slices of the District 5A-1 playoff pie still on the serving plate, and with two games left in the regular season, El Reno High School’s football team is still sitting at the main table ready to eat.

Barking loudly at the Indians feet are the Altus Bulldogs, a team which El Reno head coach Chuck Atchison knows will be hungry to take a bite out of EHS’ part of that pie.
