Gerald Horton Marsh
Gerald Horton Marsh died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at Parkview Hospital. He was 81. Born Jan. 27, 1927, to Charley and Effie Marsh, he grew up in Leflore County and received a diploma from Wister High School. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II. On returning from occupied Japan, he married Jewel Green and they moved to El Reno in 1951 where he began working for the Rock Island Railroad. He retired as a conductor after 31 years of service. He was active in the Masonic Fraternity, Eastern Star, Amaranth, White Shrine and the Shrine Degree Team, India Temple Shrine, American Legion, VFW, Disabled American Veterans and the York–Rite Bodies. He was also a member of NARVRE. He attended Amity Baptist Church and First Free Will Baptist Church of El Reno.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerry Marsh; two brothers, Loton and Edgar Marsh; a sister, Eloise; and son-in-law, Mike Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel Dean Marsh of the home; a daughter, JoAnn Clark of El Reno; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Marsh of McHenry, Md.; a son, Paul Marsh D.O. of Fort Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren, Kevin and wife, Sarah Clark of Verdigris, Jennifer Marsh of Frostburg, Md., Gerald H. Marsh of Temple, Ariz., Julie, Lisa, Katelyn, James and Lori Marsh, all of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host of friends and co-workers.
Funeral services with Masonic Rites were held Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at First Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Ronnie Johnson and Rev. Barry Clegg officiating.
Interment with military honors was in the El Reno Cemetery. Services were under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.

Don S. Fowler
Graveside services for Don S. Fowler of El Reno were held Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, in the El Reno Cemetery with Francis Snodgrass officiating. Services were under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
Mr. Fowler died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at his home. He was born April 15, 1926, in Union City. Don Fowler married Bobbie Miller on March 31, 1951, in El Reno.
Don was a lifetime Canadian County area resident. He was a retired electrician from the Rock Island Railroad.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, John Franklin and Alpha Omega (Nutt) Fowler, a brother, John Franklin Jr., and a sister, Wilma Adkins.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie (Miller) Fowler of the home; a son, David Fowler and wife, Karen of El Reno; three daughters, Donna Fowler of El Reno, Debbie Curtis and husband, Dale of El Reno and Dayna Eaton and husband, Gary of Calumet; a sister, Delois Dodson of Amber; 10 grand- children, Mike Fowler and wife, Brandi, Dallas Curtis and wife, Heidi, Lisa Dean and husband, Travis, all of El Reno, Dusty Curtis and wife, Jennifer of Mustang, Garrett, Emily and Allison Eaton, all of Calumet, Heather Basler and husband, Chris of El Reno, Holly McKee and husband, Mitch of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Max Love of Midwest City; five great-grandchildren, Andie, Wyatt and Bella Dean, Balin Fowler and Samantha Curtis, all of El Reno; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the nurses aides and staff of Russell-Murray Hospice for all the kindness and support that was given to Don and his family in their time of need.

Donald L. Royse
Funeral services for Donald L. Royse will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Diana Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
Mr. Royse died Monday at Mansion of Edmond Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 18, 1947.
