As of press time Tuesday, Canadian County Election Board Secretary Dorothy Riley said two candidates had filed for the Ward 1 and Ward 4 El Reno City Council seats.

For Ward 1, Kent Carder has turned in his election papers, while in Ward 4, Glen Nichols has turned in the necessary paperwork.

The filing period for both seats closes at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
