Thomas Harvey Rukes
Funeral services for Thomas Harvey Rukes of El Reno were held Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Rod Young, Rev. Keith Henley and Rev. Steve Holland officiating. Interment was in Buena Vista Cemetery. Services were under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
Mr. Rukes died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born Feb. 16, 1936, in El Reno to his parents, Russell and Eva (Cummings) Rukes. Tom was a lifetime resident of El Reno. He was a graduate of El Reno High School, El Reno Junior College and SWOSU. He was proud to serve his country in the U.S. National Guard 45th Infantry. He married Lillie Louetta Nance on Aug.1, 1958, in El Reno.
Tom was the owner/operator of Rukes Pharmacy for 32 years before his retirement. He was in pharmacy for 49 years.
He was still working for Asbury Pharmacy in Oklahoma City. Tom met so many dear people and made many dear friends through his work at the drugstore.
Tom loved helping people and animals and loved Irish music.
Tom was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he was very active. He taught preschoolers in Sunday school for over 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Eva Rukes, and brothers, David Rukes and Dwight Rukes.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Louetta Rukes of the home; a son, Kyle Rukes of Forrest Park, Ill.; a daughter, Tammy Livingston and husband, Dennis of Okarche; sister, Betty Miller of El Reno; grandchildren, Ashlie Livingston and Brad Story and finacee’, Candice Lane; mother-in-law, Eveline Nance of El Reno; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family has suggested memorials be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 1201 E. Rogers St., El Reno, Okla. 73036, or to your charity of choice.

Dillard ‘Buddy’ Crump Jr.
Funeral services for Dillard “Buddy” Crump Jr. of El Reno were held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Burrel McNaught officiating. Interment with military honors was in the El Reno Cemetery.
Mr. Crump died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at Care Living Center in El Reno. He was born March 18, 1921, in Calumet to his parents, Dillard and Julia Alice (Davis) Crump Sr. Buddy was a lifelong resident of Canadian County and was a 1938 graduate of Calumet High School.
After high school, Buddy served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was employed with Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company as an insurance salesman and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge, VFW, American Legion and El Reno Wranglers Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Randall Crump.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Crump of the home; a son, Dale Crump of El Reno; a daughter, Connie Sheehan of Oklahoma City; sisters, Mildred Hill and Gladys Wintermute, both of El Reno; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Doris Wilbanks
Funeral services for Doris Geraldine Eubanks Wilbanks were held Saturday at Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon with Keith Henson officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Wilbanks died Thursday in Yukon. She was born July 23, 1931, in Citra. She grew up in the Atwood area, graduating from Atwood High School in 1949. She was a member of the Yukon Church.
She is survived by daughters, Donna McLean and Glenda Woodside, and a son, John Wilbanks, all of Yukon; sisters, Mary, Mack and Annie, all of California; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
