Funeral services for Mable Louise Dodd were held Friday in the Benson Memorial Chapel with Deacon Lloyd Menz officiating. Following cremation, Mable will be buried in the El Reno Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Mable died Aug. 6, 2019, at Grace Living Center in El Reno. She was born Aug. 20, 1939, in El Reno and attended Sacred Heart High School.
Mable was a homemaker and cared for children in her home. Many children in the neighborhood and town could call the Dodd house their second home. She was always happiest when she was baking and taking care of others. She later worked at Dairy Hut and Sid’s Diner.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Altar Society.
Mable is survived by her children and their spouses, Mike and Tammy Dodd of Atlanta, Texas, Tommy and Shelly Dodd of Friendswood, Texas, and Helen and Tony Buchanan of El Reno; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Jobeth Corwin of Big Springs, Texas, and Jim and Mary Kay Corwin of Sapulpa; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Mike Fairchild of Midwest City; grandchildren, Kyla Farler, Jami Regan, Amy Buchanan, Brayden Dodd and Grayson Moore; and two great-grandchildren, Ben Moran and Joey Regan.
Her husband, Earl Lewis Dodd, preceded her in death on March 9, 2018. They were married 61 years.
Mable also was preceded in death by her parents, Donald O. and Clara Walch Corwin, and son, Robert Dodd.
