Services for R. Conn Charlton, 73, of Minco will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 15, at the First Baptist Church of Union City.
Burial with military honors will follow at the Hazel Dell Cemetery northwest of Minco.
Mr. Charlton was born Oct. 14, 1945 in Minco to Corbit Ray and Ruby Mae (Garrett) Charlton. He died June 9 at his home in Minco.
He was raised in the Cogar and Minco communities, graduating from Minco High School in 1963. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam and later retired from the Air National Guard after 28 years of service.
He married Nancy Ann Pate on May 29, 1970 in Bethany. They made their home in Minco. Conn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Union City and worked as a sheet metal mechanic with the FAA until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife Nancy, of Minco; sons Ronnie and Gary Charlton of Oklahoma City, David Charlton of Minco and Scott Charlton of Weatherford; daughter Lori Surovik of El Reno; brother Walter Charlton of Norman; sisters Ruth Hall of Oklahoma City and Alma Anthony of Cordell; 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
