Memorial Day in El Reno will be a time of tribute and education as two ceremonies are planned in honor of America’s veterans.

Also at 11 on Monday, the Fort Reno Visitors Center will host two World War II veterans, one an author of children’s books.

Mayor Matt White said veterans organizations and volunteers will decorate the El Reno Cemetery Saturday morning, planting American flags at the gravesite of each military vetaran.

The Monday service will feature tributes by veterans organizations such as the American Legion, VFW and Disabled American Vets.

Dr. Hall Duncan will be at the Fort Reno Visitors Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Besides signing his books, he will share stories of World War II.
