Our Glass

Our Glass Delicatessen will feature a Team Trivia Night on Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. Dubbed “Let's Get Quizzical,” the event will see teams of four competing for various prizes. Prizes will be won every second round, and the final round will award the champion with a cash prize. Entry fee for the contest is $3, and it is recommended that contestants reserve their spots ahead of time. Visit Our Glass or call 405-345-8151 to reserve your spot in the games. Doors open at 6 p.m. with all menus available.

Our Glass also features live music every Friday. On Aug. 9, rock/country singer Amanda Martindale will be performing. In addition to music, Martindale also works on various projects for film, TV and the Internet. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Vices Bar and Venue

On Saturday, Aug. 10, Vices will host The Harmed Brothers for a night of live music. The group is an Americana/folk rock band that travels across the country playing shows. The band seeks to create an emotional connection to the audience through professional-quality singing and technical skills. Feral Ghost, another band with a similar musical style, will also be playing. They are a duo featuring both banjo and guitar, and they hail from Tulsa. Feral Ghost starts at 9 p.m. and The Harmed Brothers start at 10.

Vices will also host a night of yoga on Sunday, Aug. 11.

American Legion Post 34

Come fill up on beer, scrumptious fried food and live music at American Legion Post 34.

A chicken fried steak dinner will be held on Friday, Aug. 9 beginning at 7 p.m. The price is $7 per plate.

Due to a conflict in schedule, last weekend's music show has been moved to this weekend, right after the dinner. Old Habits Band will be performing at 8 p.m. They are a country band featuring special guest Wilton O'Neal.


At VFW Post 382, the Mean Girls Softball Pasta Fundraising Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 9. A karaoke night will be held after that. Hosted by Richie Rodriguez, the event offers the opportunity for patrons to sing their favorite songs free of charge. The karaoke starts at 9 p.m.

On Saturday, Aug. 10, a performance will be given by Coyette and the Haywire Band. The group headlined the June Storm Benefit Show at Jenks Simmons. They play their red dirt and classic country tunes in bars and venues all over Oklahoma and other states. The show starts at 8 p.m.
