Workers began removing the trolley tracks at East Wade and Bickford Avenue Thursday.

Wade Street is closed, from Rock Island to Choctaw until possibly Wednesday.

El Reno’s Public Works Department is making repairs to trolley tracks at Bickford and Wade. A spokeswoman for the department said the tracks have been coming up over the past few months. It has been a recurring problem that has been worked on several times. Workers are now replacing concrete under the trolley tracks to help keep them in place.

Customers of BancFirst can access the drive-thru by going south of Bickford from Russell.

Traffic through town on U.S. 81 is being rerouted to Russell.
