Redlands takes three from Murray State

Redlands Community College's baseball team won three out of four games over the weekend with Murray State College, while blowing a seven-run lead in the lone loss.
The Cougars took the first game of the series 11-10, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out the victory. Redlands scored all 11 runs in the final three innings, one coming in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Redlands had 19 hits in the win, with Patric Tolentino going 5-for-5 with a pair of RBIs. Kevon Hoffman went 3-for-4 as did Ky Recker with a pair of runs knocked in.
Jonathan Gelnar had two base hits, including the team's lone extra base hit, while Kenny Young had two singles and one ribbie. Dillon Streber was 2-for-4 to go along with singles from Nic Rountree and Kerwin Childs.
Redlands left nine runners stranded despite outhitting the Aggies 19-11.
Ryan Clark got the win on the mound, scattering two runs and four hits over two innings. The right-hander walked three and struck out one. Ryan Fisher went five innings, allowing eight runs off 10 hits and two walks. He struck out three.
Aaron Luchterhand and Aaron Henage teamed up to throw a six-hitter in game two, which Redlands won 10-5. Luchterhand went 4 2/3 innings, issuing a run off four hits and three walks. He struck out four. Henage was tagged for four runs on two hits and four walks, while fanning one batter.
The offense got the extra base hits as Gelnar, Rountree, Young and Tom Ward all had doubles. Ward, who was 2-for-4 on the game, had a home run and drove in three runs.
Redlands had 11 hits, with Gelnar, Hoffman and Young having two each. Streber and Recker added a hit apiece and scored a run.
The Cougars had an 8-1 lead in game three before Murray State scored 10 runs over the final three innings to pull out the 11-9 win. Jared Brewster took the loss after giving up three runs and two hits in one inning of work.
Londan Davis threw the first five innings, yielding eight runs off 10 hits and three walks. He fanned three batters.
Redlands had nine hits in the loss, with Gelnar and Ward going 2-for-5. Recker had a double and a triple, while Rountree and Young both doubled. The Cougars left eight runners stranded.
Redlands rebounded to win the final game of the set by a 14-7 margin after a seven-run first inning. Rountree was the leading hitter, going 4-for-4 with four runs scored and four RBIs. The Enid freshman had a pair of doubles and a homer.
Childs and Ward added doubles to RCC's 19-hit attack. Gelnar had two hits along with Ward, Tolentino and Streber. Young and Childs tagged the Aggies for three hits apiece.
Chad Woods picked up the win for the Cougars, allowing seven runs off five hits and five walks over five and two thirds innings. He struck out three batters. Tomas Duffek worked an inning and a third in relief, striking out two of the four batters faced.
